MAZATLAN, MEXICO
we stopped in Mazatlan in 2006 and 2015
there doesn’t seem to be anything real special about Mazatlan, a little history, not much in the way of snorkeling or jungle greenery, there are some ziplines there now (seems like they have them everywhere now) beach is ok, not as clean as Puerto Vallarta or Cabo San Lucas.
our first visit we got off the ship and found a local offering a city tour, it has a few interesting areas to see, the old Immaculate Conception basilica church, indoor market, Melecon etc
our second visit we were with alot of kids so we went to the beach, our taxi driver took us to the beach on the farthest north end of Mazatlan, i don’t know that it was anything special other than it was not crowded, we enjoyed our time there though.
going again i would probably go to a beach closer to downtown
here is a local place that has a decent selection of tours, some are pretty reasonably priced
