LABADEE, HAITI
this is one of those private Beaches owned/Leased by the cruise line, (Royal Caribbean) so if you are wanting to put a check mark on different countries you visited this place will not really do that for you, if you are thinking you will see some local villages or sights in Hati you wont, it is basically a large beach area fenced off from the rest of the island.
it is great if you are just looking for a nice beach stop, one advantage is that they will bring food off the ship and have lunch available (free) and sometimes you will be the only ship there, so not too crowded.
some of the things available to do here- zipline ($95– kindof on the expensive side) waterslide ($24), alpine coaster ride ($20-35), rent kayaks, parasail, etc.
the beaches are decent and we did some snorkeling since we brought our own gear, not great snorkeling, but a nice relaxing day
from the North beach looking back towards the lunch serving area
North beach, the water is moving alot more on this side
South Beach- calm water, best side for snorkeling (along the rocks to the west)
