ARUBA

Aruba, visited in 2017

Transportation the bus system here is really good inexpensive and easy to get to, about a block (map) out of the cruise ship terminal, here is their website with routes and schedules Aruba bus , it cost about $2.50 a person, where we went a taxi would have cost about $18.
there are not alot of small buses like on most Caribbean islands they had bigger/nicer buses that ran about an hour apart, it was loading as we walked up to the bus station which was nice. on our way back we did have to wait about half an hour for one to come along.
Another nice thing when planning your trip or even while you are there, the bus stops are shown on google maps!

Currency they use the Arubin Florin but accept US money

Beaches and Snorkeling there are alot of beautiful white sand beaches in Aruba, we passed some of the more popular ones, like Eagle Beach, on our bus ride (those beaches got very crowded through the day)
we went to Catalina Cove out away from the more popular “easy to get to” beaches, it also has better snorkeling (map) we took the L10 bus to get there, (it is the last stop for the L10), when we got there there were a few boats with snorkel groups but they left after about a half hour or so. not a super place to snorkel but was ok, decent amount of fish around the rocks in the water, not alot of coral.
