Transportation

Taxis, rates are normally per car, 1-4 people, then add per extra person, here is some info and rates for taxis in Antigua
we were able to get a taxi to take us to Galleon Beach for about $45 ea way (13 of us), he tried to up sell us on doing a little “tour” (which most taxi drivers will do if they are taking you to a far location) we just stuck with the there and back.

Busses, they are a good economical way to get around, especially if there are just a couple people, here is some info on the busses in Antigua and routes, maps of each route, just make sure you plan extra time to accommodate stops picking up and dropping passengers.

Cruise ship Port, here is where the port is located

Stingray City, as far as i know there are just 2 spots in the Caribbean you can swim with and feed stingrays, here and in Grand Cayman, I would have gone to do this if there were not so many of us, next time, here is their site, it is $50 a person and you have to take a taxi to their location, they do not pick up.

Beaches

our top 2 options were Turner Beach and Galleon, we ended up going to Galleon, there is a small sunken boat in the bay (suppose to be 2 but we only found one) it is a decent beach but a little different, the sand does not go past the edge of the water, it is like solid rock as you get into the water, the water was not very clear (dont know if that is standard) we did see some turtles and a stingray, and you are suppose to be able to hike up to Shirley Heights from there (one of the reasons we chose that beach, didnt end up hiking up though)

sunken boat

we saw the sunken boat, but did not know where the shipwreck was (if you zoom in on google maps you can see it, didnt realize that till i was back)
